Local Missions - Serving the Carroll area
Central supports Community of Concern Food Pantry
Community of Concern has been able to serve residents who are in need of food since 1981. Last year, Community of Concern provided food and emergency non-food items to 860 families, totaling over 2,300 people. Each cart of food ranges in value from $259-$300.
The food pantry is run by one paid employee and several dedicated volunteers. Their director, Roxie Reinart, is dedicated to meeting the needs of Carroll County residents. The Board of Directors works hard to apply for grants and seek out local partnerships in order to keep the food pantry fully stocked in order to never turn away someone who is hungry and in need of food.
Any questions regarding their practices or clients, please call at 712-792-5150. Community of Concern is located at 322 W. 3rd St., Carroll.
Central Church also supports other organizations such as New Opportunities (Christmas toy drive). Central cares about the people of this area and strives to help out as best as possible.
